Fleetwood Mac

Mick Fleetwood went to Sound City in Van Nuys looking for a room and heard Keith Olsen demonstrate it with a track by a duo who had made one failed album. He hired the engineer and both musicians. Recording took about three months, with Olsen and the band sharing production.

Reviews at the time were respectful and moderate; nobody wrote that a five-year commercial run was beginning. Its standing has been built retroactively by the album that followed, though the songwriting here is the better argument.
